SLOWED DOWN SPEECH

On numerous occasions, Walter noticed that his 55-year-old Aunt Emily was stretching out her speech:
" Ara you ready for lunch?" Her movements had slowed  down and she appeared to have difficulty getting odd hoop from her chair . His cousin Fred too had observed Emily's odd behavior. The two men decided to take her to the family doctor who directed them to a neurologist. Emily was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease after an examination.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive degeneration's of the nervous system caused by the loss of dopamine producing brain cells. This motor system disorder is characterized by tremors hen the muscles are at rest, slowness of voluntary movements, rigidity of limbs. It shows up suddenly between 50 and 75 and progresses gradually.

Yoga and regular physiotherapy help to help keep the brain-muscle connections in working order . Speech therapy may also be recommended.
